RoboTX.US Charter

Statement of Purpose

The mission of RoboTX.US is to foster the growth of robotics industries in Texas through collaboration, promotion, outreach, and networking. The association is an affiliation of professional individuals and organizations, both nonprofit and for-profit, with common interests in research, development, commercialization, and application of robotics technologies. RoboTX.US will facilitate the communication and activities among its affiliated organizations.

Members

RoboTX.US is composed of a variety of organizations that include research organizations, academic and education institutions, government agencies, equipment suppliers, integrators, and end-users.  Each of these types of organizations sees the need for advancements in robotics for multiple applications.

Membership Policies

Membership is open to all organizations with a common interest in research, development, commercialization, and application of robotics technologies.  The following guidelines and policies listed below will apply.

Privacy Policy

RoboTX.US will only use the information supplied by each organization for official communication from RoboTX.US and will not provide it to third parties without consent.

Anti-Trust Guidance

The member organizations represent a broad spectrum of the entities interested in robotics, and meeting together from time to time enhances the growth of the robotics industry.  The participants in RoboTX.US agree that they adhere to fair competition practices and topics like prices, pricing methods sales, territory or customer allocation will not be discussed during the meetings.                           

Conflicts of Interest

To avoid the possibility of a conflict of interest arising, RoboTX.US shall not have the right to represent that it speaks on behalf of any member organization, without having obtained the organization’s consent.

Governance

RoboTX.US is an association of organizations, and decisions related to areas of common interest will be made by a consensus of the organizations that have joined and completed a membership form.  Southwest Research Institute® is the lead organization for RoboTX.US, initiating and launching it for the benefit of all members.  Membership is on a voluntary basis.  Members may join the organization by completing the form located on the website, and any member may terminate its affiliation with RoboTX.US by providing notification to Southwest Research Institute.

RoboTX.US Domain

Southwest Research Institute registered the RoboTX.US domain name and filed appropriate documentation with the Texas Secretary of State to secure the use of the name RoboTX.US.  The RoboTX.US website will be sponsored by a Southwest Research Institute, at no cost to the organization.

Activities of RoboTX.US

Activities and meetings of RoboTX.US will be advertised on its website, with individual notices being sent to members.  All activities announced will be free of charge, and each member organization will bear its own expense to participate.
